Interior Design in Marbella: Inside the Cloud Dancer Apartment Transformation

Project: Cloud Dancer — the Aloha Hills apartment, Marbella · 243 m² · full renovation, interior design, bespoke furniture & FF&E · double European Property Awards 2026–2027 winner.

Cloud Dancer is the project behind our two European Property Awards wins. This is how a dated 243 m² apartment in Aloha Hills became the award-winning home it is today — the starting point, the decisions, the bespoke production and the result. For the wider picture of how we work, see our guide to interior design in Marbella.

The starting point

The apartment arrived as a comfortable but dated, compartmentalised home: a cool beige palette throughout, a closed-off kitchen, traditional finishes, and rooms that didn't talk to one another. The bones were good and the light was generous — but the layout and the materials belonged to another era.

Opening up the plan

The central move was to open the living, dining and kitchen into one connected volume, linked by architectural arched openings, and to replace the cool beige scheme with a warm, tactile palette of natural walnut veneer, marble and brass. The same space now reads as one continuous, light-filled home rather than a series of closed rooms.

A kitchen rebuilt from scratch

The original kitchen was closed and dated, finished in green granite. In its place we built a bespoke kitchen in walnut and marble, opened to the living space and anchored by custom wine cabinetry — millimetre-accurate joinery where cabinetry meets stone and appliances.

From dated bathroom to master suite

The traditional bathrooms were reworked as part of a master suite with a walk-in wardrobe, alongside a dedicated home office and a guest suite with its own bathroom. Decorative wall treatments, marble and bespoke joinery replaced the old terracotta-toned finishes.

Bespoke production, under one roof

Almost every fixed and loose element — the kitchen and wine cabinetry, the wardrobe systems, the joinery and much of the furniture — was designed and produced for this specific home, as bespoke furniture and FF&E. Keeping design, renovation and production under one roof is what let the detailing and the material junctions resolve as cleanly as they do.

The result

The finished apartment was named an Award Winner at the European Property Awards 2026–2027 in two categories — Residential Interior Apartment and Residential Renovation / Redevelopment. Winning both, for the same home, is the clearest measure of a transformation that was designed and built as one coherent project.
